Barry Moser was born October 15, 1940, in Chattanooga, Tenn. As he grew up he rebelled against the strictures of his southern, male-oriented family and their notion that art was not a man's job. He attended military school from seventh through twelfth grade, where he learned discipline and orderliness, but also developed a distrust of authority of any kind. Steven Kellogg was born 26 October 1941 in Norwalk, CT, the son of Robert E. and Hilma Marie (Johnson) Kellogg. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design (B.F.A., 1963) and did graduate study at American University. An author and illustrator of children's books and artist, Kellogg has also been an Instructor in etching at American University (1966) and taught printmaking and painting.
